Train passenger 'was dragged 60 feet along a platform when driver set off with her hand caught in a door'

After being dragged for 19 metres, the 60-year-old passenger managed to pull her hand free before losing her footing and falling onto the platform. She suffered head, hand and back injuries at Hayes and Harlington station in west London on July 25 last year. Today, train driver Stephen Murdoch, 44, was charged with
wilful omission or neglect, causing the incident that injured the woman. He gave no plea at Islington Magistrates' Court but his defence indicated he would plead not guilty.
