Dasuki bought warships, aircraft and a lot of equipments for the military. He didn't steal $2.2bn

Formal President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan had a different view on the money EFCC accused Dasuki who served as National security Advisor during his tenure in office and insisted such amount is inconceivable. He said that Dasuki acquired warships, aircraft and many other equipment for the military during his tenure in office.
You remember Dasuki has been in custody of EFCC for alleged diversion of funds budgeted for arm purchase. The $2.2bn scandal has kept Dasuki in detention since 2015
According to Jonathan, it is improper to say $2.2bn was stolen after the purchase of arms by his administration when delivering  lecture at Oxford Union in the United Kingdom on Tuesday. Jonathan further buttress the reason why he has kept quiet over the issue. According to him, he doesn't want to be seen as a formal President challenging the present government. He stated this through Abuja based public relations outfit, the PR Nigeria
