Violence flares at Wembley: Bloody scuffles erupt as England beat Scotland 3-0 after the Tartan Army took over Trafalgar Square

England and Scotland supporters clashed at Wembley towards the end of their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday.

The Three Lions ran out 3-0 winners on the night, with Daniel Sturridge, Adam Lallana and Gary Cahill getting the goals for Gareth Southgate’s side.

It was by no means all one-way traffic, though, with England fortunate to escape a number of scares when holding a narrow lead.
Scotland were ultimately unable to convert their chances and ended the game empty-handed.
The contest, staged on Armistice Day, saw both sets of fans pay their respects to fallen heroes before kick-off.
Tensions did, however, threaten to boil over in the stands towards the end, with Goal journalists on hand to capture the clashes off the field. England remain two points clear of Slovenia at the top of Group F having collected three wins and a draw from their four fixture so far, while Scotland are sat second-from-bottom on four points.
