Tottenham recovered from going two goals down at Manchester City to
grab a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Dele Alli and Son Heung-min in a
thriller at the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola’s side dominated the
first half but had to wait until four minutes after the break to open the scoring.
De Bruyne’s long ball up to Sane should have been cleared by Hugo Lloris but the goalkeeper did not get enough on his header allowing Sane to walk the ball into the back of the net.
Minutes later and another Lloris mistake handed City a second. A low cross by Raheem Sterling was spilt by the France international allowing De Bruyne to tap home.
However, Spurs responded just five minutes later, Dele Alli grabbing a goal back, heading home Kyle Walker’s great cross to halve the deficit.
Spurs then grabbed an equaliser a minute after City thought they should have had a penalty for a push on Sterling, substitute Son firing low past Claudio Bravo.
