Cattle rustlers bloody attack left five dead in Niger state


In the early hours of Monday, at about 3a.m, a fully armed cattle rustlers attacked defenseless people in Kaure community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. The attackers target the community in the early hours of Monday
when the people were more vulnerable to their schemes.
According to the report, many villagers were injured and so many still missing. It was gathered that the armed cattle rustlers were in the region of 30 that stormed the community when many of the victims were still sleeping.  

Gbada and environs situated on the border with neighbouring Kaduna State have come under attacks in recent times by rustlers.
The senator representing Niger East, Senator David Umaru, has condemned the attack, describing it as “barbaric and heinous,” while calling on security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book.
