Wizkid bag Artist of The Year Award

He was nominated along-side Tekno, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo, Tiwa Savage, among others, at the AFRIMA 3.0 concert held on November 6, 2016 at the Eko Convention Centre, Lagos.
Although he was also nominated
in the Best Male Act Western Africa, Song of the Year, and Best African Pop act categories, he lost to Flavour, Diamond Platnumz’s ‘Utanipenda’ and Diamond Platnumz again, respectively.
This comes shortly after he bagged the Best Artist Of The Year Award at the recently concluded MTV Africa Music Awards.
With his music gaining more international recognition, Wizkid has no doubt had a phenomenal career year.
Over the weekend, he was also awarded the Best African Act and Best Worldwide Act at the MTV EMA’s, while he was awarded the Best African Act at the 2016 MOBO Awards about a week ago.
