BREAKING: Strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake hits northwestern Argentina



A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 has struck northwestern Argentina, but there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The earthquake struck just after 8 a.m. local time and was centered about 16 miles north of the community of Chilecito in La Rioja province, near the border with Chile. Osun varsity sacks lecturer caught in affair with student


The management of the Osun State University, Osogbo, has sacked a lecturer in the Department of Languages and Linguistics, Dr. Olabode Wale Ojoniyi, who engaged in sex with a female student because his act embarrassed the university.
A member of the Governing Council of the university told Daily Trust that the appointment of Ojoniyi was terminated after the conclusion of the investigation on the sex tape that captured the lecturer’s sexual affair with the student.

Gunmen abduct 61 year old widow in Lagos

Myanmar: 28 killed in new violence in Rakhine state


Myanmar's military says at least 28 people have been killed during renewed clashes in western Rakhine state.
The announcement on Sunday came the same day a Human Rights Watch report said satellite images appeared to show three Muslim Rohingya villages had been "burned to the ground" in recent weeks.
In a statement published online, the military said 22 attackers armed with swords were killed near Dar Gyi Zar village after they charged at soldiers, adding another six attackers were killed during clashes elsewhere in the restive state.

One of China's first female fighter pilots and a member of the country's air force aerobatics team was killed in a training accident over the weekend, according to Chinese state-run media.
