'You were f***ing sensational! You're the best, the best!'

When Bayern Munich visited Borussia Dortmund last March, Pep Guardiola had an intense conversation with Joshua Kimmich following a 0-0 draw.
The point put Bayern one step closer to winning yet another Bundesliga title under the Spanish head coach, but Guardiola faced criticism for his handling of Kimmich.

In his book 'Pep Guardiola: Metamorphosis,' Marti Perarnau explains the dialogue that occurred between Guardiola and the now 21-year-old Kimmich.
In the last minute of the match, Medhi Benatia replaced Xabi Alonso and Guardiola ordered the Moroccan to give instructions to Kimmich.
The Spaniard was not satisfied with the final minutes and that concluded with him going up to Benatia.
"Medhi, have you given the instructions to Kimmich?" asked Guardiola.
"Yes Pep, I told him [the instructions] but there was a lot of noise," responded Benatia.
At that time, Guardiola then went over to Kimmich and Perarnau recalls their conversation.
"Did you hear the instructions from Benatia?" Guardiola queried.
"No Pep, I did not hear them," Kimmich answered.
"Damn, you had to go into central midfield!" Guardiola continued.
"Sorry, I could not hear it," Kimmich replied.
"You had to put yourself in front of the back four and hold the position, but you left that area and we lost control," Guardiola added.
After that conversation, Guardiola embraced the youngster in a memorable scene.
"You played sensational, Josh. You're good - very good. I told you that you could do it, I told you!" Guardiola said emphatically.
"Thank you Pep, it was difficult but it went well," Kimmich replied coyly.
"You were fucking sensational. You're the best Josh, you're the best. I'm very proud of you," Guardiola finished.
