Great-grandfather Ron Sheppard, 68, proposed to call centre worker
Cristel Marquez Lalec, 26, on New Year's Eve last year (inset) after
spending Christmas with her family in her hometown in the Philippines
but has not seen his fiancee since. Now wedding plans are back in motion
after
Miss Lalec, mother to a seven-month-old son, arrived in Britain
for a month-long holiday. The only obstacle holding up the nuptials is
that Mr Sheppard (pictured main with Miss Lalec) is still legally wed to
eighth wife Weng Plantino, and is waiting for the divorce to come
through.
