Yu Xu, one of China’s first female fighter jet pilots, died during training on Saturday, is proclaimed a "revolutionary martyr"
Chinese J-10 fighter jet pilot Yu Xu, 30, died in a training exercise on November 12, 2016, according to the Chinese Air Force.
The accident occurred in northeast China’s Tianjin, when two J-10 fighters of the August 1st Aerobatic Team crashed during the drill. One of the planes then plunged down and crashed near (see more photos after the cut)




Yutian county in #Hebei. Xu died during the parachute jump.
Born in southwest China's #Sichuan province in 1986, Xu was one of the first four female fighter pilots of China's People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). She joined PLAAF in 2005 and was a pilot of the August 1st Aerobatic Team, which is affiliated to the Air Force.
People's Liberation Army Air Force spokesperson Shen Jinke offered condolences from the PLAAF.
