Mourinho looks to hold onto De Gea as Real Madrid rumours intensify

Manchester United and coach Jose Mourinho are doing all in their power to prevent David De Gea from exiting the club, with the Portuguese boss coming out and insisting on how the environment surrounding the star shotstopper can't be beat, even at a club like Real Madrid.Returning to Spain has always been an option for De Gea, but it has seemed to gain steam in recent weeks, so Mourinho is making sure his player remains focused on the task at hand.
His friends at the club and, importantly, goalkeeper coach Emilo Alvarez may end up swaying the keeper's ultimate decision.
In fact, Alvarez worked with De Gea back in his Atletico Madrid days, and actually encouraged then coach Quique Sanchez Flores to start him over Sergio Asenjo and Yoel Robles.
As Manchester United look to return to Europe and continue climbing into the Premier Leauge top four, holding onto De Gea will be essential in that push, although it may not be entirely in Mourinho's hands.
