The secrets to ageing well, according to this 105-year-old cyclist who STILL breaks records

Robert Marchand, 105, from France, broke the world record in cycling last month for ages 105 and up. He is more aerobically fit than most 50-year-olds and, according to a new study of his physiology, is actually increasing his fitness levels as he ages. Most would consider themselves lucky to reach the age of 100. But to be 105 and able to cycle - while setting world records - is nearly
impossible. Robert Marchand, the French amateur cyclist, made history last month by setting the one-hour world record for people aged 105 years and older, covering a little over 14 miles.
However, he fell short of his own previous record of 16.73 miles in the over-100s category, which he set in 2014 at the age of 102 years old.
Marchand is more aerobically fit than most 50-year-olds and, according to a new study of his physiology, is actually increasing his fitness levels as he ages.
And his secrets are quite simple.
