Missing Nigerian Journalist Found Dead

Adeyinka Adeparusi, a renowned photojournalist and editor of Naij.com who was declared missing on Sunday, was found dead on Tuesday.
Mr. Adeparusi left his Kugbo, Abuja apartment on his motorcycle at around 1:00 p.m on Sunday. After not returning home, Mr. Adeparusi’s neighbors, friends and colleagues placed several calls to his mobile phone
that went unanswered. Naij.com noted that this was unusual, as Mr. Adeparusi was a “very professional and clear-headed individual; not the kind of person to wander off.”
He was subsequently declared missing and was found dead on Tuesday in an apparent motorcycle accident.
The late Adeyinka Adeparusi was a graduate of the Lagos State University School of Communication, where he was awarded honors in photojournalism and cinematography while completing a minor in mass communication.
In 2011, the young journalist was honored with the 6th Wole Soyinka Award for Investigative Reporting. He went on to win the People’s Choice Award for Human Rights Photography in Africa at the German Development Media Awards in 2013.
